Egg hunting at the Grove!!!

Every year just before Easter the City of Blackfoot has an Easter egg hunt down at Jensen's Grove. Every year I complain and whine not wanting to go mess with all the crowds and people. And every year I try to get out of it with no luck at all. But, every year I am glad to be able to see my children family and friends enjoying themselves.... And I admit, I enjoy myself too.
Zac and Livi were having a great time and hunting for the egg with the bicycle prize in it.

Alyvia had fun. Her pace was a lot slower than others but she still managed to have just as much fun.

Zac is hoping for the grand prize!!!

Zac is growing up so fast. He was so impressive to watch out in the field gathering eggs. He was one of the oldest in his age group and therefor able to get eggs much faster than others. Zac only gathered a small amount, and even backed off eggs when younger children were near to make sure they had a memorable time also. Zac is a great child, and is willing to share at times when he could otherwise not. Zac is, for those who don't know him, Loud, crazy, loud, emotional, loud, happy, loud, funny.............. and caring.

I couldn't be prouder...

Answered Prayers in the ICU

Most of you know about my brother and his hard times recovering after a surgery that saved his life. I couldn't do any better than what Zandra wrote about telling Dave's story and her experiences while caring for Dave and his family. So, I wanted to send a link to read her story.

http://morticiansdaughter.blogspot.com/2009/03/answered-prayers-in-icu.html

I have no doubt in my mind of the power of the priesthood and the faith that David and his family have of Our Father In Heaven. Thanks Zandra for being with Dave and Daisy, and their kids. Thanks for the up-dates!!

"Kid quotes"

With my work Schedule like it is, I am also a part time stay at home parent. And I get to to spend a lot of time with all my children. Today I was home with Alyvia and she was whining more than usual. So I said, "Alyvia, stop whining at me, I don't like it." Alyvia, being 2.5 said back, in a whining voice "Yeees yooou doooo..... yoooou looove it!!!

So I took the picture!!

Zac and I were sitting at the kitchen table about a week ago and I was trying to help him with his homework. Again, being part time stay at home dad. When Zac looked up at me with a very serious look on his face and said, " You know dad? You're a serial killer!!" "What? Why?" I asked Zac. He said, " BECAUSE YOU HAVE TERRIBLE HANDWRITING!!"

There have been so many more but my memory is failing me. So hopefully when they come in I'll jot them down and try to pass them you to my faithful viewers.

The Love of my Life !!!

In the past I've only briefly mention Jessica, and since today is her birthday I thought I would let everyone get to know, "THE LOVE OF MY LIFE."

Jessica was born in March 18th 1978 in Blackfoot Idaho, The same hospital that Kyler and Zac were born in. She moved to California for a very short time when she was young then back to Blackfoot. From what I know Jessica was a sweet little girl that was somewhat mischievous at times. I've heard stories about her and her older brother Danny fighting and finding trouble. When Jessica's dad would have to scold her, or even spank her it was a far more challenging task for him, not the emotional stuff, but Jessica would squirm so much he could never keep hold of her to get the job done. how could you be mad at a pretty little girl like Jess.

I thought it would be fun to show my faithful Blog followers Jessica's transformation to what she is now. Be advised!!!! What you are about to see may cause outbreaks of severe laughter.

Its plain to see life hasn't always been easy for Jessica, Just Kidding Sweetie.

Jessica Played basketball and golf in high School as well as earning good grades and putting up with me in her later years.

I believe this is Jessica's Junior year

(below)

Below is a picture from Graduation night. Jessica Graduated in 1996 from Blackfoot High School.

I remember that night she was extremely sick, I believe it was her tonsils. She was still able to have a smile on her face.

In 1997 I finally wore down her defences and talked her into marring me, I remember she cried all the way down the isle. I still hope they were tears of Joy.

Jessica is a great mother and wife. She has the toughest job in our house, putting up with me. Jessica loves to spend time wife family and she also enjoys traveling, camping, and long walks on the beach. Sorry, I got carried away.

Jessica works full time and still manages to keep up with two rough boys, a girly girl, making sure the bills are paid, cooking (she makes excellent Cinnamon rolls), cleaning and helping out with the little league baseball club in Blackfoot. Jessica is the 2ND Vice Pres for Blackfoot. The ladies she works with love her and I believe she is very valuable to her bosses. Jessica is also an advisor in the young women's at Church. She spends time teaching them and preparing lessons and helping them with their goals and volleyball nights. Jessica is always busy helping others and hardly takes time for her self, but never complains. Jessica loves service for others.

Jessica is easy to get along with, a real people person, she is little shy at first but she quickly opens up and is quick to jump in the fun. I am lucky to have spent the last 12 years married to such a smart, beautiful, fun loving woman. I couldn't have done better, and she tells me that too.

I love you Jess!!!

I hope your Birthday is filled with your best wishes and dreams.

Happy Birthday!!!

Can there REALLY be a favorite?

I guess I have to make up with a certain sister that is under the impression that she has been blind sided. Meet my sister Zandra, AKA The Morticians Daughter.

Zandra is the reason I started blogging. She wrote such a sweet Birthday blog for me and is feeling sad because she can't keep up with snowmobiling from Wendy. Aww! Isn't that special? Zandra? Did you forget about my summer get away at your house? Last summer my older brother David needed help moving to South Carolina. So we spent 3 days driving almost non-stop in a giant size U-Haul pulling a car trailer. WOW! What a trip. Just Dave and I on the open road. The trip was great. Dave and I had a blast while driving and getting great quality brother time in. He Slept almost the whole way...( JUST KIDDING)

We didn't stop much to sleep. Only twice for about 2 hours each time. At this point we were in the middle of Wyoming and Dave backed the U-haul off a interstate exit that literally led us into a famers feild (Wyoming is weird like that) Dave Slept in the U-Haul and I in his van on the trailer. When suddenly I woke to the sound of a Train horn blowing, I noticed the U-Haul was back about 15 feet from the train tracks and the train was blowing by. WOW, that was close!

Well.... I only made it to Tennessee. You see, David's wife, Daisy, and his 3 kids flew to Tennessee and were driving the remainder of the way. (This is where Zandra comes in) When we got to Zandra house it was like a resort. The pool, hot tub with fire flies floating in the air in the background. It was fantastic.

The next day Zandra took me into Nashville and I got to see some of the sights. I have always wanted to see the Grand Ole Opry. I only saw the outside but it kinda counts. But she took me to some great huge super mall and I got to do a little shopping. She took me to See my favorite country music star's house, ALAN JACKSON! What a huge house. In fact most of the houses around Nashville are huge.

The kids got kinda cranky!!

To top it off, Zandra and her neighbors rented, not one, but two boats on the final day I was there. Zandra knows my love of the water and for especially wake boarding. So we headed out to the lake. Talk about a beautiful day. The water I swear was about 80 degrees. Like bath water. We spent the day between the pontoon boat and the ski boat just having fun and eating.......... ALOT!

Zandra with Anika and Kyra, and a neighbor girl.

Get on the tube Dave, I'll go slow.

Torb and all other kids just flying over the edge of the pontoon.

That pic is not in Tennesse, but I had to put it in to prove I can wakeboard!!
The Per and Zandra Anderson Family.
(nice hair Per)
So....... Like I said, Can there really be a favorite? I mean I have so many great brothers and sisters that would give anything for me and our family. And we have all had fun special times together. And I LOVE them all so much!
Thanks for Everything zAnNy!!! Much Love sis......
Now get off my back.. ok?
